CRITERIA TO APPLY

THE BASICS

The scholarship is open to anyone in the United States or its territories (United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa), with financial need, who displays academic achievement, and commitment to serving others, a strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and is entering the field of Mechanics, Aviation, or Engineering.

QUALIFICAATIONS

Applicants must be:

  • An entering student at an accredited undergraduate institution or Trade School and must be enrolled full-time.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a certificate of completion in Mechanics (Car, Motorcycle, or Airplane).

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Applicants should:

  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Qualifying applicants will demonstrate one of the following:

  • Demonstrate Citizenship, Character, and Serious-Mindedness

  • A low to moderate parent Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

  • Extenuating financial circumstances

Strong applicants would:

  • Work at least part-time.

  • Exhibit courage when faced with hardship.

  • Be involved in the community, school, and work activities.

  • Demonstrate a desire to contribute to societal change now and future.

  • Pursue goals and aspirations with integrity, self-discipline, and good judgment.

  • Demonstrate leadership characteristics and/or assumed leadership positions.
